As this site is mainly devoted to current chart trends, it’s quite refreshing to see the lack of new music in the top regions. By now, many of us already know about Susan Boyle’s astonishing performance in Britain’s Got Talent. Not surprisingly, the album racked up record sales in the UK. But, listen to this. In just six weeks, Susan Boyle sold 3.1m albums in the United States alone. Only Taylor Swift’s Fearless can beat that. Her breakthrough there came with America’s Got Talent as more than 13m viewers saw her perform The Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses.” She’s also appeared on Dancing with the Stars as well as X-Factor.
